Errors exist in member list, solve these issues before saving the dimension

Hi,

In GL_ACCOUNT(/cpmb/...) I had to clean the existing master data and deleted all of it. Now when I try to add the new data, the system is showing an error message "errors exist in member list, solve these issues before saving the dimension". To my knowledge I've entered sample data in all the required fields but still the issue continues. But unable to find out what the error is...

Unfortunately to extract the data from BW; I've moved this dimension out of the model and was unable to put it back as there are zero entries in this dimension. To start using a new dimension would be a major task, as I need to change all the templates, reports and LS involved with the GL_ACCOUNT dimension. Please advise.

As the corrupt dimension is in Quality system, I have deleted the dimension in BPC and transported the same infoobject from Dev. The transport was successful and in BW(backend) I was able to see the infoobject. But in BPC(frontend) the dimension is not visible. Any idea how this can be fixed?

Hi,

Please check in which environment have you transported the dimension......Plus while transporting have you only transported the structure of dimension or the master data as well.

If you don't have any knowledge of the transports ask the BW person to check it...

The environment to which I transported the infoobject is correct and I've transported only the structure not the Master Data.

Hi Mouli,

Please provide the screen shot of Error description by taking cursor on the exclamatory mark besides Member ID.

For Eg.

So that we can exactly comes to know the reason of error.

@JP..thanks for your help. my initial post didn't get updated in my activity list and thought it was not posted. So, I had to create a new one and now I deleted the old post.

@karan..it says the ID is mandatory.

Hi Mouli,

Please follow the below mentioned steps, might help you:

1. I have created the same scenario which you are facing:

2. Firstly, select the row in which you are facing this error and delete it and go back to the dimension list screen i.e. exit from that specific dimension without saving it, if it is ask for saving the dimension then please select "NO":

3. Then again enter into the dimension and select "ADD" option. After entering a new member ID, you need to press ENTER so that it will validate the member and without which you won't be able to save the dimension and will face the same error.

It will shows like below after pressing ENTER:

Only after above validation, Press SAVE button.

Hope it will solve your problem.

Hi Mouli,

If you have tried all the suggested ways, then try to transport the dimension from development/quality server (if you are on production) and then try to add new members

Hi Mouli,

If you have tried all possibilities and its still not working then it must have been corrupted. No other way then to delete the current dimension and create a new one with the same name so that you dont have to change anything else!(scripts, reports etc)

Please don't create multiple threads for same error...delete them!

Ia all the transaction data related to the master data deleted properly? No records should be there in cube! Clear data from BPC doesnt clear all the data from the backend!

Try to process the dimension in offline mode after adding master data....

Hi Mouli,

Looks like,data still there in the cache.

Run "UJA_REFRESH_DIM_CACHE " program.

You may activate the object in RSA1 or run attribute change run.

Hi,

 

Logon to BPC web admin.

Go to the problematic dimension and maintain the dimension sheet.

Add at least one member to this dimension and process it in off line mode.

2.You may need to run UJA_DATA_CHECKER program.

3.There is one more OSS note about EPM cache.

This notes resolved my EPM issue once.Though it is about EPM cache issue,you may try once.
