Hi All,

Using S/4Hana 2021.

While distributing the contract to CI and CC, facing the error as Service Type has been maintained in the SPRO where node is available in CI-Billable Item Transfer-Account Assignment Derivation. Where we assigned the Service Type to the respective main and sub transactions as well. (Posting Area 8121 & 8122 with Application Area as 'S' has been mapped as well).

Error: Service type **** (ZS01) is defined as a service type recurring charge (Item 000001)

Kindly advice how to get rid of this error in order move/replicate the subscription contract to CI system.

Hi Rahul,

As mentioned in my first reply please maintain a different Service type -

Please check the comments below and adjust the customizing and check again.

Thank You for your prompt replay.

As I have did the configurations mentioned in your reply. But still facing the same error. Any specific configuration is missing other than this or even is it the right way/condition types assigning in the given path ? Can you suggest with any of the sample configuration details to get rid of this error?

Hi Rahul,

In SPRO Path: Financial Accounting->Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable->Integration->Revenue Accounting->Activate Integration with Revenue Accounting - here a default Service Type is maintained.

In addition to this, in path Revenue Accounting->Assign Service IDs to Service Types - service types are assigned to the Service IDs. During the contract replication from SOM to CI, from the product, the service IDs are derived and then the system derives the service types. These derived service type must be different from the default service type.

As a solution, try to maintain a different service type other than the default service type. Hope this helps.
