Hi experts!

I need your help. I have a problem when I'm trying to execute a BPF. First of all, I'm running SAP BPC 10.1 NW, EPM add-in SP22.

Initially, it was impossible to execute BPF because it was launching an error. I was using Mozilla Firefox 43.0.1 but I have read on the compatible matrix from SAP that supported versions are 32 to 35, so I downgrade my browser version to 32.0.

Now, I can execute the BPF but I have an issue when I try to execute some step that must to open Microsoft Excel. The error is:

I have been reading a lot about these and there are some people who says that it is an Add-on problem. I have the next add-on active:

Maybe I need the BPC10.1? But on my aplication --> Download Center I only have one possible download:

Anybody have the same problem and can help me?

Thanks,

Albert

Hi Albert

Can you let me know the following:

- Is HTTPS enabled for the BPC web URL?

- Are you able to launch EPM add-in from the Home Page of BPC web client(not BPF)?

Best regards,

Chuan

Thanks for your response Chuan,

When I try to launch EPM add-in from the Home Page, I have the same issue (same message error).

And for your first question, can you explain me how I can enable this?

Thanks,

Albert

Hi Albert

The error has nothing to do with BPF as you have the same issue on home page.

I didn't want to ask you to enable HTTPS. Instead, I think you are using HTTPS for BPC URL.

What URL are you using now for your BPC web client?

e.g. http(s)://hostname:port/sap/epm/bpc/web/

Also, are you getting the warning below when accessing the BPC web client?

Best regards,

Chuan

Hi Chuan,

Yes, I'm using the URL https://hostname:port/sap/epm/bpc/web/ and it's true that this warning message appeared the first time.

Thanks

Hi Albert

The errors occurs because EPM add-in cannot ignore the security certificate like IE.

Please follow the steps below:

1. Install the CA to Trust Root Certification Authorities

2. Make sure the Issued by is itself otherwise you need get the CA of "Issued by" as well.

3. Make sure you don't get the warning below when accessing the BPC web client again.

4. Launch EPM add-in from home page or BPF.

Best regards,

Chuan
