Dear Experts,
I am trying to reverse a legacy Asset through AB08 by putting reversal year as 2023. System is giving error "FAA_POST214 - Legacy data transfer not possible; more than 1 fiscal year open, Legacy data transfer not possible; more than 1 fiscal year open".
Same error appears using BAPI "BAPI_ASSET_REVERSAL_POST". Fiscal year is equal to calendar year Jan - Dec and current open year is 2025.
In t-code FAA_CMP, the transfer date is set as 31.12.2023 and transfer status is "Completed". In ledger setting, Highest Fiscal year is 2025 and closed year is 2023 (as shown in below screenshots)
According to note 2544536, in FAA_CMP, I tried to create a new segment under Tab "Legacy Data Transfer" with new Transfer date 31.12.2024 but here system is showing error:
Message no. AC199
Please guide how to resolve this issue and achieve the objective of reversing the asset document.
Request clarification before answering.
If you have fully followed the steps of 3555206 - Error AA422 when reversing Asset Legacy Data via AB08 (*) please consider creating of a case/issue with reference to this KBA.
(*) especially checking/updating ANLA-LDT_DATE and ANLA-DT_SEQN

Hello dear user,
I haven't even paid attention to the fact that you already talked about the mentioned note. My mistake sorry.
I also find another topic about the last error message you get following the instruction of the note 2544536.
Can you check this link and see if it can help you out ?
If it doesn't solve your issue, hopefully a colleague of mine will take the lead on this topic.
Best regards,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, Thanks for your input.
I have posted depreciation for all 12 periods of 2024 and then successfully closed the 2024 through t-code FAA_CMP. Now only one year (2025) is open to meet the requirement of error FAA_POST214. I also created new segment in FAA_CMP with Sequence no.2 and LDT date as 31.12.2024. (Previous segment is no.1 which has LDT date of 31.12.2023 and its status is "Completed").
Now as I execute AB08, this error is gone but another error is coming "Contact your system administrator (table error) Message no. AA422".
For this, I followed Note 3555206 and updated Table ANLA with Sequence no.2 and LDT date as 31.12.2024. Still AB08 is giving same error AA422. FYI, i also checked table ANLC and it contains data for 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Did you already perform the steps of KBA 3224015 - Error AC199 during AJAB?

Hello dear user,
And thank you for asking your question in the SAP Community blog.
Have you checked the note below already ?
It might be helpful to solve your issue.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Following this note 2544536, I have created a new segment with transfer date as 01.01.2024 (I cannot change Transfer Date in original Legacy Transfer Segment because its status is already set as "Complete" and system does not allow to revert transfer status to previous stage). But even after creating new segment, system is still not allowing to reverse the Legacy Asset documents in 2024. Its merely because SAP only allows such posting as long as only fiscal year is open in Asset Accounting. So solution of note 2544536 totally depends on condition of maximum one year open.
At this point, i don't see any feasible solution allowing to reverse Legacy Asset documents in 2024 (when both 2024 and 2025 are open). I don't know if there is any possibility to make only 2024 open, do the required reversal and then close 2024 to re-open 2025. If you can still think of any other solution, then please do let me know. Thanks
