EPMMEMBEROFFSET works different for other users

HI Gurus,

I have a really strange problem. I am working with the EPMMEMBEROFFSET formula in several reports.

My formula is like that:

=EPMMemberOffset(;"[CONSOSCOPE].[PARENTH1].[G_10]";2)

When I use the report I get the expected result G_NONE.

When my colleague uses this report the result is G_10

How is this possible???

Many thanks in advance!

Sandra

Hi there,

many thanks for your ideas! We checked everything... DAP was the same, cleaning and refreshing cache didn't change anything.

When she logged in on my PC the report was working fine.... so we knew the problem must be caused by her PC. Installed software and add ins and even office security updates were compared...no difference.

Finally we started her PC with another windows profile, she logged in to BOPC and it worked!!!

So, just to let you know... in our case the problem is her windows profile.... really strange as until today we only know about the epmoffset formula not working....

Many thanks for you help!

Regards,

Sandra

Hello,

It is probably too late to confirm one more thing.  But here is an idea if this happens again.  This might have been because of some meta data saved on the client machine in PC_NW directory.  The content of this directory is by user ID.

If this happens again find folder PC_NW and rename it.  Then have the user connect again.

Hello Leila,

it is not too late... we haven't changed her profile yet. Yesterday evening we also found the meta data saved on PC and detected that it is not deleted, even not during reinstall of the software....

We are going to test it next week... just delete the content of the folders  and  then connect again.

I'll come back and let u know if this was the solution.

Thanks and regards!

Sandra

Hi,

Do you both have the same DAP?

Hi Sandra,

1) I would suspect that the other user has different DAP access. please compare the sequence of the members in the epm context pane in the excel for both the users.the epmmemberoffset will provide the output as per the sequence.

2) "clear the Metadata cache" from the excel and then "refresh the metadata" from excel and see if it is working fine.

3) if both the users are having same DAP profiles. then please clear the cache's from sap back end by running the below programs

Goto >>SE38

UJXO_CLEAN_CACHE

UJXO_CLEAN_DIM_CACHE

UJXO_CLEAN_TDH_DIM_CACHE

close the excel and try login again and check the output.

Thanks,
