Hi Gurus,
Something very bizarre is happening in one template that I am trying to get done. I have one workbook with 2 tabs, in each one of those tabs I have 3 EPMContextMember selections (TIME, COST_OBJECT, and FUND) this selections need to be passed to a DM package via VBA (that works just fine).
The problem is that each tab selections should be limited/Filtered to only certain members IDs due to the purpose and data target of each one. To do that I filter the EMPContextMember selection using excel references that read a combination of EPMMemberProperty to then provide the member ID's for the dynamic filtering
.
Initially it worked but when I change the TIME context selection on the second tab to the member ID that is to be used for that execution (DM via VBA) then the EMPContextMember filtering from the previous tab is not read any longer even when the population, concatenation, and member ID generation is working correctly in the excel cell and also shown correctly in the EPMContextMember filter section.
This is specific to the TIME selection which is reading a TEXT/ EDATE / TODAY() excel formula to derive the current year, then transform that into a VALUE and use that to give me the NEXT year which I then reference to the EMPContextMember filtering section.
If I just type the member ID in the cell instead of the TEXT/ EDATE / TODAY() concatenation it then works!
I am not understanding this behavior , has anyone come across this issue before. Please advise.
Request clarification before answering.
