EPM reports saved in excel 2016 are not opening in 2010

I am currently using Excel 2016 with EPM (10.0 SP26 patch 3 .NET 4). Any reports/templates edited/created in 2016 were not getting opened in excel 2010. This gives a VBA related error. PFA error.

Please suggest me if I need to downgrade my excel to 2010 or is there any workaround.

Hello,

I think the VBA is the root cause of the error.

I guess you should re-write the VBA code in the report with Office 2010 to get things correct.

First - never use "Insert File" to add Image, use correct "Insert Image" to make your post readable.

Second - do you have VBA code in you templates?

Can you create a very simple template without VBA in 2016 and then open it in 2010?

Yes,my worksheet consists of VBA to protect and unprotect the sheet. So the problem cannot be resolved, unless I remove this VBA?

If I need the VBA as well, is there any other option other than downgrading to 2010?

Sorry, but it depends on the quality of VBA code 🙂 And without detailed analyzis of this code it's not possible to help you.
