EPM Protection Combobox error

Dear All,

I'm having this situation:

I'm locking my template based on:

"Protect Active Sheet"

I have in my template one Data Validation as per screenshot.

When I try to change the Value from the Combobox, it is returning the it is locked.

Is there any way to sort this out? or any way to restrict the cells or areas that I do not want to be locked?

Hi,

How have you provided the data validation? through formatting sheet or directly excel??

If Formatting sheet then select the "Data" cell---> Right click---->EPM--->Protection--->Unlock selected cell.

If normal Excel....Right click on cell--->Format---->Protection tab----> Unlock.

By default the cells outside the report area in the normal excel are locked.

In this particular case normal Excel formatting has to be used to set locked status of the cell.
