Dear All,
We have a Input Template Report with "Excluded Members" Option from The "Report Editor"
without this option we're taking 6 seconds, and we use this it take like 50 seconds.
The configuration of this is as follow
We have 3 dimensions for X-AXIS
- Account - Members (hierarchy)
-Dimension1 - Base
-Dimension2 - Base
for Y Axis we have 5 column (with dimension, time, Category) for example
let say
-Account, Dimension1, Dimension2, Q1, Q2,Q3, Q4, Total(calc), Act (hidden)
Account1, ABC, NO_B, 200,200,200,200, 400, 1
Account1, No, No, "","" ,"","",1
Account2, No, No, "","" ,"","",1
Account3, No, No, "" "" "" "",1
The aim of Act, we generated for each account, one member for dimension1 and dimension2 (AccountX, No,NO) for it appear whole structure of the accounts, else we will lose whole the accounts (to be planned)
and i'm using the option of "remove Empty or Zero" for do not show whole master data, since we use the Base for Dim1 and Dim2 in report Editor.
-We are using Insert Member, selecting the values from Dim1 and Dim2 so they can plan their activities activities.
The perfomance is very low if I excluded members is active.
the excluded members I designed in order to solve the problem of
Since Account is hierarchy and i have two many members in DIM1, it will become big... and not pretty for the users
so, I used the logic
if account.calc = Y, dim1= N, then hide
if account.calc = N, dim1 = Y, then Hide
if account.calc = Y, dim2 = N, then Hide
If account.calc =N, dim2, Y, then Hide
this WORKS PERFECTLY and I can see the TOTALS well.. only issue is PERFOMANCE!
any trick to sort this out?
Thanks.

Sorry, but is it so hard to show meaningful screenshots instead of long and unclear description?
And what do you mean by excluded members in your explanation?
