EPM Member Selector issue - not showing the dimension members correctly

Hello Experts,

Can you please help us with an issue below. It is not showing the cost center dimension members instead it's like the property of the object. This only happens with one of our users. We are suspecting that this could be related to Microsoft patches installed in his computer but per checking they are updated. Tried to search same issue here but can't find one. Thank you in advance.

Hi Lemuel,

have a look at note 2149742

fixed for SP 21 patch 1,

I would suggest upgrade to the latest, which is SP 22 patch 1

Hello Andy,

Thanks for the input but I think the note is not applicable to this issue. So far only one user is affected and we are looking into installing the latest patch which is SP 22. Hopefully it would fix the issue.

Hi,

I recommend reporting this to BPC support.  When you do that please provide the following details

  1. Does this happen to all users from all client machines?
  2. Does this happen to a specific dimension or all dimensions? My guess is all dimensions
  3. Was member selector working at anytime in the past and if so what has changed?

When you report this you should also follow note 2129493 and take a Fiddler log and EPM Add-in logs in debug mode.

SP 21. Forgot to mention in my first post that reinstalling EPM does not work. Issue still persists.

Then you have to perform all possible tests to understand how this user is different from other...

Hello,

Actually we have already did the tests that we think would isolate the possible issue. The user would not encounter the issue when using a different computer while anyone who uses his computer would have the issue. We have concluded there could be an issue with the EPM installed in his computer or some other components required, MS patch or the computer itself.

I was hoping that there are others that had the same issue and would be able to pinpoint the specific resolution.

Thank you for answering my questions, I appreciate it. I'll let you know when we figure it out. We have not tried yet SP 22. Hopefully it would fix the issue.

It's clear that the issue is with the computer setup, not with the user!

You can reinstall the office

What about versions? Office? Windows? NET?
