EPM Launch Error out Via BPC 10.0 Web

Hi Experts,

Need your help to sort out issue below.

My client facing issue when select EPM launch option from BPC web. But when they login via MS excel via connection manager no issues found.

I have attached "Error When Launchng EPM from Web.jpg" file for info. As per error I have already done some troubleshooting.

1. As per error I visited registry of user's system and check CLSID {0002085-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}. Attached details of this ID where only one version shown i.e. 1.8 because user is using office 365 Pro  Plus.

2. Now under this ID there is another sub id mentioned i.e. {00020813-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}. Attached details of this ID too. So under this id too only one version is showing.

3.

Can someone please help me out to understand what went wrong here which cause this registry error.

Hi Experts,

Can someone help me here to sort out issue we are facing. I have check all the required registry settings. But under both the registry keys i.e. {000208D5-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} and {00020813-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} it is showing version as 1.8 only and no other version. I have already attached error details from users system.

Please advise.

Hi Parag,

Could you please give more details about the BPC version, EPM versions.....browser used etc. Are you facing the error first time?

Hi JP,

Below  is the version details.

1. MS Office 365 Pro  Plus

2. EPM Add in SP24, PL01, Build 9385

3. IE 11 used.

4. Yes we are getting this error first time. But previous version of MS office this error was not encountered. Not sure it's because of office 365 or something else.

Thanks JP. But my error is not related to Visual Basic. User is getting error only when try to launch EPM add in from Web. If directly connect using connection manager then connectivity is working fine. Also Error is taking me into registry settings but after having look into registry , nothing found any issue.

Looks like you cant read properly....Check the notes given in the thread and also EPM Add-in Installation Guide. If your installing on Office 365 Visual Basic is needed to install which is inactive in 365!!!

And from this link have you checked the case 2 for registry problem?

The same thing already applied which was mentioned in case 3. Infact there is one SAP Note 1978201 is mentioned in this case. But still no success.
