EPM disorganized member dimension hierarchy

I have an issue with EPM Report. When I try to build an Input Schedule and filter account dimension by properties in the row axis, I get the right accounts but the hierarchy appears messed up. I tried to sort it with "EPM Member Sorting and Grouping" but it doesn't work, just nothing happens. Can anyone help me?

The filter that I am using is the following:

Find attached an image as an example with both hierarchies, the right one at the left, and what I see at the right

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Cristina.

Sorry, I am unable to understand or reproduce your issue!

Please provide all screenshots for report setup!

Parents nodes placement depends on the report setting - Top or Bottom

P.S. I used local member to show value of the property ACCTYPE that I am using to filter dimension.

Unable to reproduce the issue. On your screenshot it's not clear how base members are related to parent...

Look on my test reports on ENVIRONMENTSHELL:

ACCTYPE is a local member:

=EPMMemberProperty(,EPMDIM_CURRENT_MEMBER(ACCOUNT),"ACCTYPE")

Hierarchy nodes at bottom.

Can you provide the same sample?

P.S.

"EPM Member Sorting and Grouping" - will ignore hierarchy by definition!

Hi Vadim,

I don´t have a local member, I am filtering account dimension directly in the row axis by the property that is already in the system, I need to group parent nodes with their related base member, in the right hierarchy on my screenshot, the most of parent nodes are under base members and there is not logical order. I provide you my hierarchies so you can see it, the right one at the left.

Thanks!

Hi Vadim,

Thanks a lot for your help. I almost have it, I have sorted the columns where I have the time dimension and now my account hierarchy looks ok but it is in the other way around, I have tried to sort it with ascending option but it looks messed up like in my first screenshot. Do you know how could I turn it around? I also have thought in a formula like EPMMemberSortingOverride to try to reorder my hierarchy but I don't know if it could be useful and how to use it.

Thanks!

Regards.

Sorry, but I am completely lost on what are you doing!

Data sorting has NO relation to member sorting...

Try to start from the very beginning - use copy of ENVIRONMENTSHELL and create a test case that I can reproduce.

Hi Vadim,

I found out the solution to organize the hierarchy of my report. I selected the "Top" option under "EPM - Report Editor Options" and now everything seems fine.

Thanks a lot for all your help!

That was exactly my recommendation: "Parents nodes placement depends on the report setting - Top or Bottom"
