Hello All,
Can some experts please throw some light on below questions
we are on SAP BOBJ 4.1 Sp05 and we have BW 7.4 , BPC 10.1 netweaver version
Currently, all our EPM reports are based of planning and consolidation connection . However, i want to publish the EPM workbooks to BOBJ enterprise system.
is it possible to authenticate into EPM through BOBJ login or launching EPM add-in through BOBJ and eventually publishing epm reports to BOBJ when we have BPC netweaver version.
Following some notes, i believe i need to download EPM connection manager ( FIn cons BOE plugin 10.0). But is it only for BPC microsoft office version? or is it also applicable for BPC netweaver version.
Did any one has the above said architecture, where EPM reports based on BPC 10.1 netweaver version published to BOBJ

Hello,
As far as I know users are authenticated using ZBPC_* role on NW only.

Yes I understand the NW roles . But, can these be part of EPM connection created on BOBJ server.
I see the we can create EPM connection in BOBJ and make it SSO. users can very well authenticate to BOBJ with SAP authentication or windows AD ( SAP alias) - hypothetically .
the above said notes are conforming the architecture . But i am not really sure if that is applicable for NW version or is it only for Microsoft version
Hi,
As far as I know you cannot connect to EPM Add-in authenticating through anything but BPC roles, ZBPC_*, generated on NW server. That is why all BPC users must also be users on NW server.
I know some customers use Add-in to retrieve data from BW providers outside of BPC namespace. However, I think even in those situations NW authorization objects are used for authentication.

Leila
