Hi Team,
We are looking for detail insight of Contract Enterprise management about its working process and scope as SAP best practice - 1XV does not talk about the detailing of it. Could you please help with below question -
1. Can we build the interface between SAP S/4HANA and third party system in order to receive the legal contract from third party system into SAP S/4HANA (Inbound)?
2. Is ECM in S/4HANA creating the outline agreement (operation contract) automatically from legal contract once the ECM life cycle completed?
3. How a legal contract created through non SAP system would get stored into SAP and outline agreement can have reference of same?

Hi Rajesh,
Depending on the deployment option, you can find informaiton about the configuraiton of E-CM:
Admin guide: https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/4cef93946a0b48ec89533b3c34443b85/c44dfe084d244c1abb2...
Do you have access to the SAP Learning Hub? The configuration learning deck is part of the learning course for Enterprise Contract Management and Assembly.
Best regards,
Ingrid

Hi Roshan,
1. yes, that is possible with S4H Cloud and S4H On Premise with the APIs we offer. Here is a link to more information: https://help.sap.com/viewer/92202be276984a6a8c53a8e1600b2d2a/2111.500/en-US/661e69819002478f9d5b72ee...
2. The operional contract is created in S4 Procurement or S4 Sales and can be linked to the legal contract.
=> Linked Objects are business objects that are connected to a legal transaction. The connection is represented by a link in this facet. You can even link to business objects that are present in an external system, to a legal transaction.
Objects that can be linked are: Purchase Order, Purchase Contract, Sales Order, Sales Quotation, Request for Quotation, and Central Purchase Contract.
3. You can manually upload a contract document to the legal transaction and link the legal transaction to another object in S4. We also provide a Badi to connect to non S4 objects (so external objects). You can also use the APIs to create a legal transaction and then upload the document from another source automatically.
Here is some more information:
Best regards,
Ingrid
