Enabling Custom InfoProviders in BPC for S/4HANA Web Client

Hi everyone,

I am on BPC for S/4HANA and have created my own infoproviders in BW. I would like to link these infoproviders to an environment in the web client administration so that I can use them rather than creating new model. I cant see them. How do I ensure that the infoproviders are linked to the environment.

Hi Jordan,

BW InfoProvider are liked to BPC models (not to BPC environments), so you have to create a model and there you can assign the BW InfoProvider you need.

Thanks for your response. Only problem is I dont see the BW Infoprovider in the Admin Consol of the web client.

Hi Jordan,

can you be more precise? The above screen shot shows the wrong part of the Admin Client. You have to create a new model (maintain technical name, description), select a model type, create, then click the link 'Click here to select an InfoProvider' choose the InfoProvider and save the model.

Oh thanks I found it. I thought I would use the "infoprovider" tab rather than the model one.
