Dear Community,
We are using SAP BPC 10 for Netweaver, Support Pack 17.
Quite recently, the 'Enable Comments' option was disabled for one of our models, following the import of a model transport request. This is a known issue, as explained in Note 1979690.
Thankfully, we haven't started using comments yet in this model. We do however plan to start using them, and I have the following questions:
I've searched the BPC Administrator's Guide / SCN / SAP Press Book for answers, however with no luck.

Hi Simon,
With your first question “re-enabling the comments during business hours has any adverse impact”? The answer is no, but you never disabled the comment function from model once it activate. If you deactivate the comment function from model during business hours then all save comment disappear from report but it once again come if you activate it.
For your second question after disabled the comment function from model, if you delete comment through data manager package it give you an error. Without enabling comment function from model you can’t clear comments from DM.
