Distribution of Worksheet gives error message - The SMTP HOST WAS NOT SPECIFIED

Hello

I am working with SAP BPC 10.1 SP 8.

If I have not defined the parameters for the environment shell SMTPPORT/ SMTPSERVER etc.

I can successfully e-mail a work status notification.

However as soon as I try distribute a workbook, I get the error message The SMTP host was not specified.

E-mailing within BW also works perfectly, is there something specific to get the distribution to e-mail to work?

If I maintain the Appset environment parameters for SMTPPORT = 25 and SMTPSERVER as per the SMTP server within BW.

I still get this error message?

Distribution by Emails

The e-mails will be sent from the user's PC, you have to provide some valid SMTP server in User Options. Talk with your network administrators!
