Disclosure Management Accessing CDS

Hi Experts,

If we want to import financial data from S/4 HANA FI and other sources - can we create the required CDS and datalink to the CDS from DM? For example create a Trial Balance CDS and CDS with subtype/transaction type data for loans and fixed assets and create datalinks to these respective CDS?

2) Are there other components that need to be built/ do we need to use additional reporting tools to make the CDS available to DM?

Hi Eyal,

The queries you will see in DM can be created in two ways:

1) A BW power user creates the queries with modeling tools (e.g. “SAP BEx Query Designer” or “SAP-BW-Tools”) – to create a classical “SAP BW Queries”.

2) An ABAP developer creates ABAP CDS Views, adds a coding called “Analytic Annotations”. S4HANA present these using a façade that exactly behaves like “SAP BW Queries”.

These queries will have technical names starting with "2CC" or "2CZ"

Schematically, this is how DM interacts with the S4/HANA queries
