Discloser Management installation ?

Hi Expert,

We are planning to install and configure DM on a POC System.

We have downloaded the installation package from the  SAP product Availability Matrix.

But the installation Package does not contain an EXE file.

Question : How to install such package on a server if there is no exe file ?

Hi Firmin,

What file did you download?

On SMP, if you go to the Disclosure Management "Installations and Upgrades" you will get the file "51049916.zip" (approx. 530 Mb)

In here, you will see the folder DATA_UNITS\DM_SERVER_APPL_SERVER_10_1\WIN32

There, the 'DMAPPLSERV00_0.exe" file is the installer for the application server

Hi Marc,

Many thanks for your clarification.  I checked my downloaded file , the path you described is the same. 4 files are there and dmaaplserv00_0  is there.  I will start an installation.

Other question :  in a previous post, I discussed with you regarding if DM can consume direct  webi report.

You told me No.

My client said that during a presentation of the product in the company by a SAP sale person, he confirmed that DM can connect to BI.  Saying that there is a confusion : when he says BI , is it BW  and/or BO ?

We discussed also about an option : use the Bex report that is the source od the webi report

But the concerned webi reports have been built on top of an universe ( an not Bex query) that is a layer on a SQL  Server DB.

Please could you advise a solution : how to connect DM to the universe or the BO system ?
