The maximum possible number of dimensions in a BPC model is about 3000. Obviously, no one can practically have 3000 dimensions in a model. If you have up to 13 dimensions in an application, the performance can be most optimized because then each BPC dimension can be a line item dimension in BW terms. (please note that 'line item dimension' is a BW term and from BPC standpoint, this happens automatically and a BPC user does not have to understand how this works).
