Different Profit Center derivation than the Cost Center master data (Message KI339)

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and facing an issue related to the assignment of the profit center (CEBE) in manual journal entries.

When I try to post a journal entry and manually enter a profit center different from the one assigned to the cost center in its master data, the system overwrites my value and displays message KI339: “Profit center was set to &1”.

🔍Context and what I've checked

I came across Solucionado: Message KI339: Profit center was set to XXXXXX - SAP Community, where someone mentioned that SSCUI 103007 can be used to change the behavior of this message.

However, I don’t see this SSCUI available in my Central Business Configuration (CBC).

❓My questions are:

1. Has SSCUI 103007 been changed or replaced?  Because I have checked the accelerator "SSCUI_List_EN_XX" and this SSCUI is not in this excel, so now it´s not available. I remember I have done message control on this SSCUI in the past at least for the area M8, and this area now is in other SSCUI. Is it possible the area KI is now in a different SSCUI?

2. If I switch off the message KI339 (set it to “Switch off message”), will the system allow me to retain the manually entered profit center, even if it differs from the cost center’s master data?

3. I also checked the standard substitution rule /0SAP/SetProfitCenter in the "Manage Substitution and Validation Rules" app, but:

   • I cannot modify the standard rule.

   • When I try to create a new substitution for the same business context (FINS_ACC_MS_1), I don’t see how I could prevent the profit center from being overwritten if it's already manually entered.

If anyone has experienced a similar issue or knows of a workaround (via configuration or logic), I'd be very grateful for your insights.

Searching in our repository, I'm able to find the document which will help to understand why the system is taking that behavior described. 

Please, take time to read and understand.

It's the same error, you can follow the solution provided.

If it's isn't clear for you, I suggest to open a case under the same component which the Knowledge Base Article has been created (EC-PCA-ACT-2CL).

My question arises because in the following link: Solucionado: Message KI339: Profit center was set to XXXXXX - SAP Community, it's mentioned that there was an SSCUI where it was possible to switch off this message. My doubt is whether this functionality was available in the past but is no longer accessible now? ? I just want to confirm that it hasn’t been replaced by another SSCUI providing the same functionality, since this feature has existed before in Public Cloud. Best regards, thank you in advance! 😉

I have checked the Configuration Activity List and it seems isn't available, (it's deprecated). You're correct. If there is an other configuration to fulfill the old one, it's out of my scope, I suggest you to follow the process which I've indicated in my first reply! Thanks for the update.
