Hello Experts,
Which is the difference between Standard DSO and Direct Update DSO when using planning-Enabled?
It is wrong to use Standard DSO with planning-Enabled?
I have designed a model using standard DSO and we have some memory issues in hana, the Pool/PlanningEngine get blocked, the memory is not released after save and close of the workbook. Can be related with the type of the ADSO?
I will appreciate the answer of an expert.
Thank you in advance,
Cristina

Hello,
The post is very old, but I hope it can help others in the future: I have redesigned the model by switching to a Direct Update DSO, and it works perfectly.
Technically, it’s not wrong to use a Standard DSO with planning-enabled functionality. However, it’s not optimal in terms of performance. The activation and change log processes can lead to performance issues, particularly in scenarios with high-frequency data updates, like planning.
Best regards.
