Define Account Determination for Bank Clearing Accounts subaccount grayed out

Hello Experts,

In CBC activity Define Account Determination for Bank Clearing Accounts I enter the subaccount but after saving it's grayed out.

I found this KBA Note https://me.sap.com/notes/3312572 but it's note useful.

KBA Note:

Configuration steps:

In Configuration Activity 101024 'Make Global Settings for Electronic Bank Statement' assign bank subaccount to an account symbol.

In Configuration Activity 103557 'Assign Account Symbol to Payment Methods' assign payment method to account symbol and country/region key.

What could be the problem?

Both settings are fine in my understandings and yet when I try to enter save the subaccounts it's still grayed out -->

Thank you in advance!

Hello dear user,

And thank you for asking your question to the SAP Community blog.

Payment method “T” is often used for automated electronic payments (such as SEPA transfers using the pain.001 format).
In this case, the bank subaccount determination is handled automatically by the payment program, based on the following parameters:

  • The house bank
  • The bank account
  • The transaction type
  • And the payment method configuration

That’s why the “Bank Subaccount” field is intentionally greyed out:
the system prevents manual input because the G/L account is determined dynamically during payment processing.

I hope this will help you answer your question.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Hello Jeremy,

Then I don't understand why do we get this error message when we try to create a bank transfer in the app 'Make Bank Transfer'.

Could you please give me more information on this?

Hello again Gabor,

It seems like it's another question then and not specially linked to the main one.

However, I found a note on this.

Please check the link below and see if it solves your issue :

2214744 - Error FIBL_RPCODE065

Hope this will help.

Best regards,

Jeremy
