Default Data for Cusoms Processing

Dear Expert,

I would like to understand what is the use of these two fields with reference and Reference field. Because if there is value in those field then I cannot enter any data in column "Representa" ? Attached is the screen shot.

Hi Ramesh,

When I have time, I like to help in this forum, but I'm not running on-line training courses.

I have explained the purpose and functionality of the two fields you queried, so please experiment and work out what you need to do. Maybe try the example I gave, using the Consignee to propose the Destination Country?

Obviously I can't vouch for the new field you've created, so first get things working with standard fields to gain confidence.

Hi Ramesh,

Clicking the Reference field just adds the arrow, which indicates that the proposed field value will come from the Reference Field instead of being the fixed value entered directly in the target field.

In the example you show, the Representative will be copied from the current User if the FTO is FTO_DE06 and the Legal Unit is LU_022.

The technique is useful for copying Partners (as in your example) and for Countries - that's why the field list includes the C_xx fields - for example, you could propose the Destination Country to be the same as the Country of the Consignee (C_CUSEMP).

Hi Dave,

1- I am new to this functionality. I have configured new field P_CTPSTP (Rep.of contact person). Same I have maintained in the default data as you see the screen shot but it does not appear automatically in my customs declartion.

2- You mentioned that proposed field value will come from the reference field. So here which value will pick from reference field ? and if I am selecting $user how value will come in "Representative" ?

3- How the representative will copy from the current user if FTO_DE06, do we maintain value anywhere ?

Please assist.
