DataSlice/Workstatus Concept in BPC 10.1

Hello,

We are investigating BPC 10.1 embedded version on our BW (on Hana) system (7.40).

I searched a lot but i couldn't find a proper document or how-to  blog about using data slices in BPC 10.1 embedded version.

I tried to create work status and changed the status of activities but i am not sure how this will affect my data-slices on the data-entry cube.

Can somebody tell me how the logic should look like, so that my data-slices will reflect to my actions in Work statuses.

Hi Ozan,

in BPC Embedded the effect of work status settings in input-ready queries or planning functions is implemented by run-time data slices. This works out of the box, besides work status you don't have to configure anything else.

Hi Gregor,

Thank you for your input. Does it mean we don't need to create any data-slices on top of infocube?

(my first understanding was, 'work statuses' will affect the data-slices which exist on infocube..)

And does any database table keeps the information about those 'run-time dataslices', when they are active (meaning work status is set to 'in process' maybe)?
