Hi guys

if i would like to upload transaction data from erp to bpc

how can i do this using flat files

i have only the id of the GL , balance , co code

so how can i identify the other dim in the flat file

for example the flow dim

how to identify one of 1000 transaction data in the excel sheet as opening balance

Hi Elhoussiny,

If some dimension is not present in the flat file you can:

1. If it's a fixed member - then fix it in the transformation file.

2. If not fixed - then you have to explain the business algorithm... "how can i identify the other dim in the flat file for example the flow dim" - may be based on account ID in some cases, in other cases it's simply impossible!

what if i will extract transnational data from ECC

am i going to extract data from ecc to BW then from Bw to BPC BW then upload it using Data manager or am i going to use the bpc BW to extract data from Ecc then us the data manager to upload it ?
