We can't figure out how to approach setting up a transformation file to manage the data file format below:
Account,Description,Segment1,Segment2,Segment3,Segment4
701100,Revenue,825.3,349.5,753.5,928.1
702100,Wages,597.4,200,8,279.9,385.3
I thought Category by Time but I can;t get it to load all 4 columns of data. Any suggestion most welcome....
Matthew
Request clarification before answering.
If the data file is too large/hard to manipulate an alternative is to create 4 transformation files (1 for each segment) and load the file 4 times.
Trans1
amount=Segment1
Trans2
amount=Segment2
etc

Hi Matthew,
I see you have several "not answered" threads, remember that is your duty to close the threads when solved, when correctly closed it helps users with same issue to find quickly a solution, read please How to close a discussion and why and Are you a responsible person in SCN?.
What you ask is not possible in MS version, in MS version it's possible to use *MVAL function only for Time dimension.
You have to split every record in 4 records.

Hello Mathew,
Here how to use delimiters in a transformation file, this apply to the latest products as well, please check the following note:
1473822 - Is it possible to use a semi colon as the delimiter when importing a CSV file into BPC?
Please let me know if this works for you.
Kindest Regards,
Hamda.
