Data Type of filed ADSO_CREATEDTIMESTAMP is not compatible with source filed type

Hi Experts,

While activating BW Data Model I am getting "Data Type of filed ADSO_CREATEDTIMESTAMP is not compatible with source filed type" and earlier it is working fine and now it is working fine in other environments. service pack is 008.

The source is CDS view and I have filed ADSO_CREATEDTIMESTAMP and we have this filed in PaPM BW Model as well.

Hi Devi,

Regarding the activation error "Data Type of field ADSO_CREATEDTIMESTAMP is not compatible with source field type DEC" you encountered in SAP Profitability and Performance Management Model BW function, the reason why the error occurs is because the Data Type and Data Length of the mentioned field is missing.

With this, could you please check the affected field Data Types as well its Data Length on your environment? If the affected field Data Type and its Data Length are missing, could you please add the BW InfoObjects again in your environment?

In order to add the affected fields, on the environment, select BW InfoObject tab. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) and then, click the add (plus sign icon) button. From there, add the field ADSO_CREATEDTIMESTAMP and kindly check if the Field Type and the Data Length has been populated. Once it is successfully added, kindly map the ADSO_CREATEDTIMESTAMP field in the respective Model BW function and delete the field that has the issue.
