Hi experts,
i have an CATEGORY member that is currency translated with FX Rates coming from another CATEGORY member, so i set up the properties within the CATEGORY Dimension. Moreover there are some Accounts that should be just copied 1:1 from LC to Group Currency. Therefore i created an own RATETYPE and defined an separate Business Rule with "COPYLC" for this Ratetype.
The Problem now is that when i excecute the DM Package Currency Translation for the Group the values in Group Currency were doubled, but only for the "COPYLC" Business Rule. All the other Business Rules doing right. This only happens for the CATEGORY that has no own FX Rates but not for these Categories, which have own FX Rates within the Rate Model, so it seems that the Business Rule is okay.
Actually i don't understand what is Happening, maybe someone can help.
Best
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,
how did you set up the category in terms of taking FX rates from another category? And what are the LC values like when comparing those two categories?

Hi Arnold,
the set up is within Category Dimension with RATE_CATEGORY and RATE_YEAR Property.
LC Values are different (as these Categories don't have anything in common) but as i thought only FX Rates are taken over from the other Category member and the LC Values from the current category are taken in place?

Hi Sebastian,
normally you are correct, the system should take the LC values from the category you are working in and the rates from the linked category. However, since the linking is done for the purpose of the currency conversion, I am not sure that is true for COPYLC.
Are the LC values in the linked category twice what the amounts in the current category are?

Arnold
