Creation of high numbers of subscriptions via Solution order

Dear Experts,

For our customer we're implementing the integration between S4hana public cloud and SAP subscription billing (scope item 57Z).

Please consider the following scenario:
Our customer sells deals including hardware, installation of the hardware and subscriptions for the sold HW.
HW is usually sold in big batches, e.g. 50 pieces, and the solution order will have to include also the subscriptions for the 50 devices.
To allow the end customer manage the subscription of each device individually (to pause, resume, cancel etc.), 1 subscription will have to be created for each device using the serial number of the device as technical resource (if there is a better/more efficient solution I'm happy to hear it!).

In the Solution order, it is possible to indicate the number of licenses as a subscription parameter, but if we enter 50 ea as a parameter, the result will still be 1 subscription in subscription billing with license quantity = 50.
We highly hope we can avoid creating 50 subscription items in the solution order.
Is there a way/configuration setting that would automate the creation of subscriptions based on the parameter quantity?
The quantity on subscription item level is defaulted to 1 and is not editable (see attachment) TinyTake08-02-2024-04-53-00.pngtherefore it cannot be used for this goal.

thank you in advance for you advice.

Hello,

unfortunately we do not support item quantities for subscription items right now. The number is always limited to 1.
You have to work with multiple items, but be aware that there is also a performance limit depending on the type and overall number of items in a solution order.

We will address remove this restriction with this roadmap item, currently scheduled for Q1 2025: https://roadmaps.sap.com/board?PRODUCT=67837800100800007389&range=CURRENT-LAST#;INNO=1FA75F34ABA51ED...

Greetings,
Oliver
