Creating Currency Translation Types

Hello experts,

I'm using the Currency Translation on the fly for some of my queries.

When definning the my currency translation type in Transaction RSCUR, in tab 'Time Ref.' I need to have the 'Time Shift from Variable' define by an exit.

The user will select in a new InfoObject Z123 one value, and need to define a value for the 'Time Shift from Variable' depending on the value the user select in the InfoObject Z123.

Is there a way to do this?

Many thanks for your help,
.

Best Regards,

Rui

Hi Rui,

From your description it's not clear what is the requirement. Can you please give an example?

In the TimeRef tab you can select an option "Variable Time Reference" and choose there special InfoObject. then in Time Shift you can specify what should be the shift. The variable that you are going to use should be of DATE type.

Hi Gersh,

My promt has the following variables for the Currency Conversion:

- Exchange Rate Type;

- Target Currency;

- Time Shift From Variable;

In 'Time Shift From Variable' the user is able to insert a value (0; 1, -1, etc).

My requisite for this 'Time Shift From Variable' is that this field if fullfilled via SAP Exit. How can that be achieved?

Many thanks,

RUi

Hi Rui,

Based on your latest explanation your issue is not related to Currency Type, but to Exit variable. Is that correct?

Do you want "Time Shift From Variable" to be populated by a User Exit and then user can change it. Is that your question? or something else?
