Create a new test system

Hi,

due an error, our test system was deleted and we are not able to restore it. So, we would like to re-create or create a new one but as a copy of productive system. The productive system has release 10.1.7.242

In few weeks we would like to test a newer release such as DM Stack 1200.

The production system is a VmWare virtual machine, can I clone the vm and then rename hostname? Or... must I install a new 10.1.7.242 system and then export from productive to test ? ...database copy?

The best way forward

- install DM 10.1 SP10 on a new machine. This will create a new DB

- backup and restore the current DB over the newly created DB

- upgrade to Stack1200

- copy the file C:\inetpub\wwwroot\SAP\SAP Disclosure Management\web.config from the current machine to the new one
