/CPMB/ARCHIVE_DATA - step by step and run time?

Hello All,

I need to run /CPMB/ARCHIVE_DATA. In the audit table there are 22 000 000 records. Any idea how long it can take? I know it depends on the system performance but I need to understand if we are talking about 5 hours or 15 hours. The chain was ran only once 2 months ago and ran for 1 sec so it done night I think.

I am going to run it on the weekend.

The second questions. When I run the data package there is a window asking for:

Archive Data Changes/Select the desired data range/VERSION. And there is an ADD button. When I click it, it show EPM - Member Selector. I can select members. Does any of you can explain more about it? Any step by step documentation? The data will be archived for the member that I will select, right?

Regards,

A.

"I know it depends on the system performance but I need to understand if we are talking about 5 hours or 15 hours" - the system performance can vary 10-10000 times

Hi Ark,

Please check the below thread.

P.S

second question: It depends on the categories for which data audit is on In BPC Administration>>Features>>Audit   for “Data Audit Configuration by Model.

when you run the Data manger package select the categories in scope for data audit archive.

Thanks,

Hi Dinesh,

Thank you very much. I ran the job and took around 2 hours which is good:-)

I had a look at the link you sent. Thanks. One more question: where should I modify the number of days for which the data should be kept/archived?

A.

Administration>>Features>>Audit   for “Data Audit Configuration by Model.
