Copying all reports from SAP BW backend using UJFS

Hi Experts,

Would like to seek your help/advice on the following:

In SAP BPC 10.0 NW EPM Add-in for Excel client, we can copy only one report/input schedule from one folder to another.(On Server Reports/Input Schedules). If we want to copy all the reports at a time from one folder to another, then we can do it using transaction code UJFS from back end.

My question - Is it advisable/recommended to tell/allow the Client/SuperUser ( who is having Admin rights) the process to copy reports using UJFS? Or Should it be done by BPC Consultant only?

Your advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks.

You can provide this method to the client or not... Daily backup is always a right solution

Hi Vadim,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Would need to know if we can ask the Client or not? It is recommended or not?

BTW, daily backup you mean through UJFS? Could you please elaborate the process for daily backup?

Thanks.

"It is recommended or not?" - There are no general recommendations, it depends on the client and the person with admin role.

You can perform daily backup using UJBR, not UJFS. Please search the forum for UJBR.

Thanks Vadim.

So that means we can allow Business User who is having Admin right and knowledge of SAP BW system.

Yeah, I know about UJBR. I thought you were telling some report back up process using UJFS.

Thank you so much.

Hello S J,

We can use UJFS with permissions no issue !!

As a consultant we're the part of using UJFS for backend file services to transfer files from one folder to another folder.

Hi Ravi,

Thank you. Yes, as a Consultant we can use it. Actually we use it. My question was, can we allow Business Users to use UJFS directly if he is having Admin access?

Thanks.

In my past it ever happens,.....!!

Even though they're having admin access,.......we've to use UJFS rather than users.

If not suggest me pl !!
