Connection to web as well as EPM stuck at "Connection in progress"

Hello experts,

We are facing issues while log in BPC from web as well as from EPM. Below are the screenshots from EPM where exactly it gets stuck.

Is there anything specific which we should check from server or http connection level to resolve the issue.

We have done a restart which resolves the issues it is not practical to restart everytime.

This may be far fetched, but if none of the other suggestions here work, you can ask your BW admins if they were doing any debugging and left a breakpoint running in transaction SE80-->class CL_BPC_REST_RES

To my mind it's better to ask network administrators to trace the connection...

Hello Vadim,

We have asked the network team and their is no network glitch.

are there any quick checks that can be made in terms of web requests coming in the BW system, where are they waiting for getting completing, any threshold for the number of users logged in using http, any ICM related checks?

Hi Dolly,

Goto SICF and test the BPC connections.

There is no limit on the concurrent users, when the screen gets stuck, is there anything process running in the backend?

Hello Andy,

we saw that the below was inactive, but it is difficult to understand that how was it working earlier if the issue is because of this. This service was always inactive.

Hi Dolly,

In the BPC 10 installation guide page 26, can you please make sure the following are activated?

For Planning and Consolidation

1.Verify that all services under /sap/EPM_BPC are activated.

2.Verify that all services under /sap/poa are activated.

3.Verify that all services under /sap/public/bc are activated.

For the EPM Connector

Verify that the services under /sap/bw/xml/soap/xmla/ are activated.

We had a similar issue where in users where not able to login and the spin wheel was continuously running through, which happened due to some never ending jobs and those were in progress for about three days. Killing these had resolved our issue. Basis would be correct guys to update any.

Hi Dolly,

Did you try clearing the cookies in internet explorer while logging in through web?

Which version of explorer are you using and what is the patch level of EPM Add-in?
