Commitment Item not deriving based on valuation class defined in FMDERIVE

Dears,

We have maintained the following derivation

Fmarea+GL1+Valuation Class = Commitment item1 (Target fields) with settings Overwrite with New value.

While PR creation, system not deriving the desired commitment item, rather its picking up different commitment item.

We have checked through derivation trace, system failed to derive valuation class value, because of which system deriving the other commitment item. We have maintained the necessary sequence.

Hi,

Valuation class should be derived first from material master data. So, create a rule which would derive it from material and in the second rule, based on the obtained information, you can derive FM objects.

The FMDERIVE trace should show what/how is deriving after you activate it. If not I recommend sharing some screen shots. Perhaps the first rule is overriding the rule you want.

FMDERIVE trace is not deriving valuation class maintained in rules. we maintained only one derivation rules i.e. the mentioned rule above.
