Hi,
I would like to know the best practices for clearing GRC work inbox.
I keep getting requests to clear work inbox in GRC non-prod systems. GRC team do lot of testing in non- prod systems and they don't want to complete all the items in their inbox and requests to clear all the items from their inbox.
What would be the best option to keep their inbox clear?
PS: All these work items are related to GRC PC.
Thanks for all the advice.

Tireesha

Hi Tireesha,
You can try 2 options:
Option 1: Execute Tcode SWIA.
Change the work item status to the final status "completed" or "cancelled". To cancel the work items in mass you can use SWIA -> Specify the work item number -> execute -> highlight the work items to be cancelled -> Edit -> work item -> Logically delete. Through this way the work items will disappear from the user inbox but the work items are still in the database. You may archive it later.

Option 2: If you do not need these work items in the future, you may use transaction SWWL to delete them from DB level. Please note this is not recommended in the production system because the data will be deleted from DB level and cannot be reverted. When using SWWL, you will need to specify the work item numbers and remove the other default selection criteria.
Recipient is the user from whose work inbox you want to remove work items

a good blog to explain the caution of deleting workflow items (compared to a logical delete/cancel)
