CK40N to do the price update in the Comm price field in Mat Master

Dear Friends,

In addition to CK40N updating the Std price, we also wish to update the commercial price field in the material master with a different price.

Purpose - Std price is different than the commercial price

The differentiator will be the different prices in the row materials, using the field "Planned price 1" to take for calculate the cost for the finished product

Requirement - When CK40N is executed, the commercial price tab in Material Master should be updated.

The above requirement is in addition to the normal std cost estimate and release.

Steps to implement.

1. Create a separate costing variant.

2. Costing Type - Price Update select Commercial price.

3. Valuation variant - To take the Planned Price 1

4. Rest all other things will be the same parameters used for the standard cost estimate.

Do you see any implication of the above

The Commercial Price is updated with the standard cost instead of the calculated cost with the new costing variant

Can someone share their experience ( Do & Donts ) in a similar design?
