Hello @KartikayMehra you can refer below to get understanding of COD. In simple term main purpose of COD is to support depreciation calculation on Assets in different depreciation areas as per various statutory requirement like a company in India need to calculate two type of depreciation one as per companies Act & other as per income tax act so we need at least two depreciation areas in this case under COD.
Thanks @sumesh_gupta, so is it correct to say that, CoD - Contains the hierarchy of Depreciation Area and Depreciation Keys and how a depreciation will work in a particular company code and on its assets. Depreciation Area - Could differentiate on the basis of accounting principle or the country. Depreciation Key - Helps to define the method of Depreciation like SLM or WDV.
