Changing account dimension member from Hierarchy 1 to Hierarchy 2

Hi Experts,

Would like to seek for your advise on the following scenario. Let's say in Account dimension, we have account members ACCT1, ACCT2 parked under parent hierarchy node named H1 now. The user would like to create a new hierarchy named H2 and parked these account members (ACCT1, ACCT2) under this new hierarchy H2. I think there would be impact in the reports if the reports reads the account based on hierarchy. Is there any other impact that I would need to take note of? I have read through some forums and understand that we could create additional hierarchy and it seems does not have much impact. Just wanted to double confirm before we proceed with any changes. Appreciate your advise on this.

First - no significant impact. For sure, common sense has to be involved - having 20 hierarchies may result in some impact 🙂

Second - what system you are talking about: BPC MS or BPC NW? It's absolutely bad to have both tags in your question.

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for the feedback and advise. I will proceed with the hierarchy change. The system that I am referring to is actually BPC NW. Sorry on the confusion caused and I will make sure I tag the correct one in future.
