Change update profile in FM - generic question

User is asking that, what is the Best Practice to have the Update profile.

If we want the update profile as per Posting date wise budget consumption. Which Update profile will need to be considered.

If we wish to change the update profile, what are the consequences/effects.

Hello community,

Changing the update profile is a whole consulting project. Therefore it is not possible to be responded in a ticket created in SAP Support.

You need to contact to your PSM local consultant to take into account all the possible effects on your documents and processes.

As a very short guide you would need to at least take into account:

- Never do the change in production directly. First in test/quality system and test the following days how the documents are behaved

- Take a list of the changes in the update profile for all value types.

- Reconstruct all the documents that would be touched by that change.

• Create/test the new environment to see how it adapts the list of processes you checked with your PSM local consultant.
