Hello,

BRIM integrated solution (CC+ERP+CRM):

In CoreTool is a functionality to see Metrics. Like "transactions" etc.

I read documentation, but still cannot find an answer on one question: what it means exactly.

Is it an amount of BIT's generated? charegplans processed?

best regards

Rafal

Hi Rafal,

- about "prepaid" and "postpaid" transactions
Whether a transaction is "postpaid" or "prepaid" depends upon the type of the account that has been charged: "prepaid" transactions necessarily come from a "prepaid" account, while "postpaid" transactions are generated by what we call "external" accounts (they are basically just postpaid accounts).

A same subscriber account can hold accounts of different types, and can therefore generate both prepaid and postpaid transactions.

- about the number of transactions and BITs
The "transactions" that are counted are actually "charged items". These items are what you get from a charge plan, each time you execute a leaf component which generates an amount ("Flat" function, "Linear" function, "Macro" function, etc.).
Allowances can also generate charged items, if you enable the corresponding option in your allowance logic (in the "Allow" function).
Please note that "Free" functions and "No access" components do not generate any charged item, though. They consequently do not increase the number of transactions either.

As you already know, each charged item generates one billable item in CI.
You can consequently expect the number of "charged transactions" in the metrics and the number of corresponding billable items in CI to be the same.

There is a small caveat though: the counts are temporarily held in the raters' memory, and then saved once a day into the database by a scheduled process. If a rater is stopped before this process runs, the daily count for that rater will be lost.
Nothing can be done about that and you don't have to worry about it, since the discrepancy between the overall results will not be very large.

Still, if you think the figures are abnormal and need to be investigated, please open a BCP ticket on component IS-CC. My team will provide you assistance about that.

Hi,

I am looking for more datailed description what is mentioned in this PDF as "charged transactions".

I assumed that they are all BIT's processed by the BulkLoader and send to CI. But it is not according to my experience. I mean it's not equal. So there must be something else also calcualted.

Actually I am looking for complete list what is under "Postpaid transactions".

Could you please help me to understand this topic better?

Best regards

Rafal

Hi Rafal,

Actually, these metrics are meant to provide statistics about the usage of your system, for your own monitoring, for license audits, etc.

For a given period, the indicators you get are the number of charged transactions (i.e. the number of billable items generated) and the number of subscriber accounts handled by your system.

If you need to read up about all this, you can refer to the PDF Application help guide:
