CC Cockpit - Mapping Tables

Hi Experts,

We're trying out the maintenance of mapping tables in cockpit as an alternative for users instead of logging on to core tool. Currently we have large tables, just to give an idea when exported the XML file size reaches about 130MB and the CSV file of data entries reaches 11MB.

What we noticed are the following:

1. It seems we cannot edit the entries of the mapping tables directly in cockpit? Is there a setting or specific role to allow this?

2. When importing entries, for example we have 100,000 rows, the rows imported successfully are not consistent. Sometimes its 35,675 rows, 22,689 rows etc. And because of this, the alternative to use cockpit seems to be more work than using the core tool. We would like to import the 100,000 rows one time like in core tool.

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks and regards,

Steve

Hi Steve,

In order to enable the edition of tables in the "Manage mapping tables" Cockpit application, you need to click the "Edit" button in the title bar:
https://help.sap.com/viewer/c7120011d1c244168dc1f945a06f1350/5.0.5/en-US/cf3cf3cb4baa4d60abd23677662...

Can you please confirm that you did that?

Regarding the rows that are inconsistently imported: are you using the "Clear and replace", or "Merge" import mode?
Also, at the end of each import, Cockpit shows a confirmation message box with statistics to summarize the operation. Does it tell you anything about the number of rows that stayed unchanged or merged?
This is described here ("Importing rows in a mapping table"):
https://help.sap.com/viewer/c7120011d1c244168dc1f945a06f1350/5.0.5/en-US/f3ad666ee58c4aa1af0d8bd1365...

Please also confirm whether the numbers keep changing even when you keep the exact same input file, and whether it always goes down (which may indicate that some rows are ignored because they have already been processed) or if it seems random.

If you need a more advanced analysis, it is recommended to open a BCP ticket on IS-CC, where you can send us your logs and your actual business data.

Best regards.

Hi Francois,

Thanks! After further checking the SP version of our SAP CC is not the latest.
