Hi Rafal,

Unfortunately, yes, the OData interface is not public at all, so the official direct HTTP API is the one relying upon SOAP web services:

On the other hand, the previously available API is still there too. It's the one used by Core tool.
It relies upon HTTP too, it is official as well but it is based upon a proprietary XML formalism instead of SOAP. The underlying XML structure is not public, but it's accessible through our Java API:
https://help.sap.com/doc/d847860d561a47568a936d5f3cbeb9da/5.0/en-US/core_javadoc/index.html

You may consequently want to combine the web service and Java API's in order to achieve what you need.

Does this help you?

Best regards.

Hi Rafal,

Cockpit has no way of letting you create your own applications. Only the ones we ship officially are available.

If you think of features that would be useful to many users, it's still possible to send suggestions and development requests to our Product Owners, though. Then, they can assess the feasibility and let you know if they can implement a solution.

Best regards.

Hi Francois,

I understand.

It's a little pitty. CC right now exposes only Webservices.

I think that CC Cockpit uses OData as a source of entities for Fiori apps. I see the Olingo library in the war file, which might confirm my suspicion.

It would be great to have an access to those OData. But I understand it is an internal solution.

best regards
