Category of License Type

I wouls like to understand the meaning and purpose of the 'Category' in External Identification of license types. E.g. what is the difference between 01 General License and the other ones listed an how does this influence the system?

Hi Eddy,

I assume you are talking about field QALDOC?

That "Category" field doesn't play a part in Licence Determination, but is used to determine which Document Type is included in the Customs Declaration item (where relevant) to indicate the existence of the Licence.

For example, in the standard configuration, Licence Type 'AG', for Legal Regulation 'AWV', is set up so that Document Category 'PDOC', Document Type 'X002' ("Dual-Use Export Auth.") is determined.
