Carry forward in BPC RTC

Hi all,

I understand that BPC RTC reads data from the ACDOCA (and ACDOCP) and writes to ACDOCC. Data entered via BPC, for example as manual journals or via a query in AfO and any fx translation and consolidation adjustments would therefore be in ACDOCC only.

When I execute the carry foward business rule, does this carry forward data only in ACDOCC or also data in ACDOCA (and ACODOCP)?

I have one question - why this customer is using RTC??? Do they really consolidate more then once per month???

vadim.kalinin the original implementation was done by someone else. I believe they selected RTC because at the time SAP promoted it as the newest and best. The client uses it to consolidate once a month.

I n this case you don't need to use full RTC implementation. For example you can store consolidation record in some infoprovider (not in ACDOCC). Or even implement BPC standard 🙂 - I have done it in one project!

The target of all generated records can be only ACDOCC for RTC to my mind.

Maybe I should have asked differently. Say I have data in ACDOCA and ACDOCC and I now run the opening balances in BPC RTC. Will this

• carry forward ACDOCC data to ACODCC
• carry forward ACDOCC and ACDOCA data to ACDOCC
• carry forward ACDOCA data to ACDOCA and ACDOCC data to ACDOCC

I assume it is not the third option, but is it the first or the second?
