Can We use DM CLIENT 1900 with DM TASKENG 1800 and DM APPLSERV 1800?

I would like to know if DM CLIENT 1900 is downwards compatible (can be used with DM SERVER and TASKENGINE 1800).

Hello Peter,

Unfortunately you cannot use a Stack 1900 Client with a lower Stack DM Application Server.

We only recommend and support the use of the same DM client Stack and DM Application Server Stack.

DM Client 1900 solved an issue I was having with excel datalink to S/4 datasource.

i.e creating a new datalink to S/4 datasource query successfully refreshed the workbook. But, after check-in, then check-out again, I got the error below.

I will roll back DM CLIENT to 1800 and try to figure out why connect to S/4 data source is successful, but finding the query is not.
