can we do Complex rating and charging in Subscription Billing?

Hi all,

we wanted to know whether we can do complex rate plans in Subscription billing without Convergent Charging engine or not?

as the Convergent Charging engine is not used for rating and charging in Subscription Billing.

like for example this rate plan :

There are 4 Charges for e.g. For a Telecom Plan which customer has signed .It offers below Plan details.

In CC it will be like 4 charges will be linked CHARGE PLAN which will compute it as per logic ,how will it be done in Subscription billing tenant if we don’t have this Rating and Charging engine

can you please let us know whether this rate plan can be done or not in Subscription billing?

Actually you could model such rate plan in Subscription Billing as followed:

• Recurring with a recurring charge with fix amount
• Call and Data could be supported with a tiered usage-based charge with a first tier until the limit, with 0 amount and a second tier, beyond the limit, with the fix price
• SMS could be represented with a recurring fee of 0.
