Hi BPC Friends

A finance user told me today that he can' t re-open any journal. He could do that in February but now not anymore.

In April there was the SP Upgrade.

Could be this the reason?

Thanks

Hi BPC Friend

I think it is a bug because if I select a Journal for example to do un-post the menu' is still grey but if I open the journal I can un-post it

What do you think?

Hi Michele,

In the Journal template, check that you have some Reopen rules defined.

In the Journal parameters, check that the option Allow Journals to be Reopened is marked.

"Could be this the reason?" - Yes, and many other reasons 🙂

Please test yourself and provide some meaningful information with screenshots etc...

I found that in BW missed these two parameters:

I have added but it still doesn't work

What else could miss?

To turn on this function, user needs to set IMG Global Parameter 'ENABLE_JRN_REOPEN' as 'X'. Go to NW backend transaction code SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG ->Planning and Consolidation -> Configuration Parameters -> Set Global Parameters -> Insert a new flag with fieldname 'ENABLE_JRN_REOPEN' and set value to 'X' ->SAVE.

  • To enable this function, you need to add a model level IMG parameter called "JRN_REOPEN_UI_CTRL" Go to NW backend transaction code SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> Planning and Consolidation -> Configuration Parameters -> Set Model Parameters -> Select Environment and Model ID -> Insert a new flag with fieldname 'JRN_REOPEN_UI_CTRL' and set value and SAVE.
