Can Revenue posting in next fiscal year

Business want advice below items please provide solution.

1-The contracts (PMT FMT GC) can be created for back dated period example: In April CS/PS can create the contact dated Jan 2022 which pertains to FY2021

2- Can the Revenue for these contracts be posted in FY 2022 by selecting the posting date as of April 2022 or March 2022 etc.

Posting revenue in a particular period depends on whether FI period is open or not.
